UPDATING, UPDATING, and EDITING

I have spent most of today updating my facebook, since I have been stranded in Palatka and I am not able to work on photos.

These days it is so easy to get so caught up in life that we may forget the little things that matter most. My style is more of a candid shooter rathern than they typical, everyday poses! Allow your children to run around, I will chase after them and and capture that personality that you see EVERDAY! You do not want them, or yourselves for that matter to be anything but that, YOU. I am a very laid back, easy going person and will be just that with you everytime, whether it is our first meeting or our 100th!

I am currently enrolled in Penn Foster Career School to recieve my Photography and Photoshop Certificates. As of January 2011 I will offically be a student with The Art Institute of Jacksonville to earn my Bachelors Degree in Photography. I strive to be the best I can be, and to put that into your photos! Remember these will be with you forever and can not be replaced as memories!

I have NEVER claimed to be the best, nor think I am. We ALL start somewhere and feel that in a years time I have I have grown SO much as a photographer, and as a person. There will always be someone who IS better, and then there will be those who THINK they are better and will try EVERYTHING in their power to bring you down. To me, they only make me try harder, get better, and PROVE THEM WRONG! I will only get better day by day by learning and practicing.

I have also updated my pricing, added a few fun quotes, and got rid of a few unwanted "guests"!

2011 WILL be a great year for me as a person, and a business!! I will no longer allow hateful people to bring me down! I will no longer allow myself to get stressed over these people who have nothing better to do with their time then to be rude and dishonest!

New Year Resolutions:

1. Limit myself to 6 sessions a month! I have become so overwhelmed with Christmas Specials and last minute Pre-deployment family session that my time has been severely sacrificed from my family!

2. Photograph 4 weddings

3. Grow and expand my business, and outreach to at least 5 vendors to collaberate with!

I just got a phone call for an interview Monday at Memorial Hospital photographing newborns!!! AAhhhh how exciting!! Please wish me luck!! I love working in the medical/hospital enviroments, then handling newborns all day and oh yeah, doing photography all day ontop of it!! Can we say dream come true!! :D

Checking in!! New information regarding JFS Photography

I know, I know, I have been neglecting the blog A LOT lately! I still have SOOOO many sessions to upload and A LOT of information to let everyone know...Especially my biggest fan!! Thanks so much for following so closely!

So aside from uploading all of my recent, and not so recent images I need to inform everyone that after my Christmas Special sessions I will be taking a break from the photography world to gather my thoughts and ideas, find some awesome new locations...(the old ones seem to be taken over by others) Finish up both my Photoshop and Photography certificates, become official with my LLC (thats right start paying my taxes that I know oh so many others will not) reface my business with new prices, new packages, oh yeah and a NEW, BETTER camera!!!

Thats right I said it, after only a year my business has done so well, so I feel it is only fair to offer even more of a greater quality to my clients and I will be upgrading to the EOS-1D III!! Aahhh..I can not contain my excitement!!!

{Let me tell you a little about the new equipment} First of all this is a 21.1 megapixel camera, delivering a magnificent resolution of 5,616 x 3,744 pixels..It has a larger display screen, live-view shooting, which allows me to use the screen and not the view finder, this makes it a lot easier when it comes to chasing all those adorable little ones around! :D There are so many other features I just can't even name the all!! I am so excited for this :D

All of these new and exciting changes will take place begining February 2011 So keep a look out and have great, fun and safe Holidays with your families...I know I will :D

Fall Mini Session {Miss A}

I have known Miss A before she was even born, her parents are long time friends of ours and I was so glad when I was able to do her pictures!! :D

Let me start by saying, this was my first wedding but I was not the "paid photographer attending" I have known the bride since 1st grade, and the groom since 9th grade!

I was honored of course when she asked me to bring my camera along, although I had planned to just for the practice!

These are just a FEW of the special moments I caught with my camera!! And hope and plan to do many SMALL weddings in the very near future!!

Zoeys Angels

I had the joy of not only being a participant of the Annual Buddy Walk for those with Down Syndrome again, but I was able to capture some VERY beautiful moments between one special individual and the team that was there to support her! You will recognize this face if you have been an avid follower! Her name is Zoey and she was diagnosed at birth with Down Syndrome!

She is VERY loving, caring, and so full of energy!!

I just wanted to stop in and say I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Monday morning and this GREAT fall weather!

~I know I am, I have my windows open, my Yankee Candle Spiced Pumpkin candles burning, music playing while I edit my most recent sessions and clean the house~

I have really been neglecting my blog. I am really going to try and start spending more time on here. At least 2 times a week :) Now that my husband is home from nearly a year deployment I have more time for myself in the evenings.

Anyway, keep checking back because Sunday (10/03) starts my first day of Fall Portraits. 4 sessions to be exact, then my first wedding on 10/09, and then on 10/17 the rest of my Fall Portraits!! Full day of them :) Business is going so well for me, so I will finish updating the blog with photos soon!!

Tomorrow I will be attending the 8th Annual Buddy Walk to raise awarness for those with Down Syndrome, so there will be a few photos from that great event!

Also I have made a few halloween costumes for a few of my friends so I will post a couple of those pictures too...Not trying to sell them just to show that I can do other things.. ;)

This family was SO much fun to shoot! I went to high school with this couple, and they also won my couple's contest we had back in April! We decided it was only fair to include their handsome little boy! Get used to their faces though, they will be back soon because they will soon be a family of 4!! :)
